Annual meeting of the Eurocorps Common Committee

Lieutenant General Pedro Pitarch, Eurocorps Commander, attended the annual meeting of the Eurocorps Common Committee chaired by the French Chief of Defence, General Louis Georgelin.

This year Eurocorps has celebrated his XV anniversary in Strasbourg, and the main highlight of 2008 has been the approval by the Members of the European Parliament, on 5th June, of a text on security and defence policy, including the following excerpts: “The European Parliament proposes to place Eurocorps as a standing force under EU command and invites all Member States to contribute to it”
