Nothing less than groundbreaking – that's the best way to summarize the 34th Common Committee meeting, which took place on December 1st and 2nd.
At the invitation of the Secretariat Nation, Spain, the Spanish Chief of Defence, Admiral Calderón, welcomed his counterparts to Barcelona to discuss the results of the current calendar year and, more importantly, to further shape the future of Eurocorps. The meeting saw the adoption of the new Concept of Employment for Eurocorps (the first within 10 years), the Operational and Training Calendar until 2032 (Employment Plan of Eurocorps, EPEC), and the new rotation schedule for the Command Group. Approval of the medium-term financial plan and the annual report of COMEC rounded off this pivotal meeting. The next Common Committee meeting will be chaired by France and will take place in Paris on December 2nd
