A New Chapter at the German Support Detachment

At a historic location shaped by Franco-German history, the German Support Detachment at Eurocorps marked an important change of command at Fort Rapp Moltke: Lieutenant Colonel Peter T. handed over responsibility to Lieutenant Colonel Patrick G.

The ceremony, led by Colonel in general staff Axel von F., brought together two significant moments. After more than 41 years of military service – including ten years leading the German Support Detachment in the multinational environment of Eurocorps – Lieutenant Colonel T. is preparing to retire. His tenure was characterized by professionalism, commitment and a strong sense of responsibility for his people.

Now, the leadership passes to Lieutenant Colonel Patrick G. A former Army Aviation helicopter pilot with two decades of experience in personnel management, he brings extensive national and multinational experience to his new role.

With the handover, one chapter closes and another begins. The German Support Detachment says farewell to a highly respected leader while welcoming his successor and looking ahead to the challenges and opportunities to come.
