CHANGE OF COMMAND
Foreword
In retrospective, I remember, what I have told you, when I first arrived at Eurocorps over a year and a half ago: “Commanding the men and women of Eurocorps is both a privilege and an honor.” I am and I always will be proud to be your Commander.
Eurocorps is, above all, a shared journey. It is a Team and Family of men and women, who have faced challenges together and overcome all of them as one. In this spirit, I am proud of everything we have achieved together.
With strong momentum and a bold vision for the future, whether on operations, in training, in the fields of technological innovation, deployability, readiness, and even environmental sustainability, Eurocorps has firmly established itself as a standard-bearer and leading actor in European defence. The EC Team and Family has proven that impossible is after all possible. Thank you for your hard work and efforts to set conditions to keep the EC in the Premier League of Corps level Headquarters. But remember, the journey is not over.
More than ever committed to our European values and roots, and bolstered by our partnership with the city of Strasbourg and the Eurometropole, Eurocorps is also our second home. It is a place where our EC Family can come together and fully experience the many cultural and natural treasures of Alsace during their time here.
Dear Eurocorps Team and Family, dear partners, friends and supporters, please know that it has been a true honour to serve alongside you and lead you toward common goals. I now pass the baton to Lieutenant General Aroldo LÁZARO with a profound sense of accomplishment and a heart filled with pride, knowing that he will continue the processes we have started together.
