NATO FORCE STRUCTURE JOINT TASK FORCE HQ

NATO FORCE STRUCTURE JOINT TASK FORCE HQ

NATO relies on the NATO Force Structure  to provide NATO’s full Joint Command and Control deployable Capabilities. As such, EUROCORPS must be prepared to assume its Joint Task Force (JTF) Headquarters (HQ) roles. EUROCORPS’ standby period is identified and agreed upon for 2024.

  • Today, EUROCORPS HQ Staff is on its way to prepare for becoming a Joint Force Headquarters in 2024. This implies that the Staff has to get familiarized with the conduct of joint operations. The training will lead to a certification (2023) in the NFS JF HQ role as foreseen in NATO’s Long Term Rotation Plan. The range of operations for an NFS JF HQ includes, but is not limited to, the following Non-Article 5 Crisis Response Operations and related tasks: Peace Support Operations, Counter irregular activities, support to civil authorities, search and rescue, non-combat evacuation operations, sanctions and embargoes, freedom of navigation and over flight operations, disaster relief and humanitarian assistance.
  • Training and preparation for NFS JF HQ role is conducted in parallel with EUROCORPS’ EUTM commitments.
  • As we face modern threats in a complex and volatile world, our organization remains a learning organization. EUROCORPS must continue to train and prepare in preserving or even enhancing its versatility, strength and speed beyond borders.
